Maine does not have a Major League Baseball team...meaning, there are no teams there that could quallify for the playoffs or win the world series. You will not see the Red Sox or the Yankees playing in Maine as part of regular league play, or even interleague play for that matter.
There is a minor league team though (maybe more):
Portland Seadogs.

There's the Portland Seadogs (a minor league team).

Then there's the Sanford Mainers whose mascot is a moose.

But overall, New Englanders, including everyone in Maine, love the Boston Red Sox.
