Fake all the way - it was a prank played on someone that got out of hand. Sorry, the Loch Ness Monster, the would be pleiasaur, is not real. She's as fake as that Alien Autopsy deal!

The Loch Ness monster was a hoax which was explained in a documentary by Andrew Tullis on Channel 4, showing photos of it to have been made up by an Englishman named Frank Searle.
The programme was called "The Man Who Captured Nessie".

It sure would be hard for something that big to go completely unoticed, and un photgraphed if it does exist. I can understand in old timey days when a photo took like two hours to set up and take, or before they started searching the lake for the monster. But these days, it is a huge tourist draw, and all those tourists have nice digital cameras they can snap, and develope anywhere. Plus all the added sounds of people, you would think if it was real, that it would have gotten pissed of and eaten a few Japanese tourists by now.

It's real, but pictures of it have been faked. I like the theory that it is a new type of eel, since the sonar profiles match those done by the Navy in Bermuda. Also the searches done in the 70s and 80s with active sonar would drive any aquatic animal to flee it. Like having a rock concert coming towards you.

I believe it was thought to be real.My theory is it was a sea snake and as the story grew it got bigger and bigger.I am of Scots heritage and i believe that a few drams of whiskey and an attentive audience created the legend of Nessie. So leave the countries legends alone as I dont see you asking about fire breathing dragons and unicorns Have you ever seen one of them?
