Thank You, for those who answered with the intent to give knowledge. I am one of those who never heard of this person.** He is a male? I tried looking for the answer on the net, however kept getting a cat profile or someones blog.

I'll bet Bush was expecting to see a toy llama too. The man's title is Dalai Lama. He is like a Buddhist version of the Pope. Maybe Bush was hoping for the Bunny Ranch Dolly Lama.

I think you mean the Dalai Lama who is the political and spiritual leader of the Tibetan people. He is in exile, I believe.
