The best Hainanese Chicken Rice is at Purvis Street... Along the street there are 6 to 8 shop selling... I like the corner shop at the junction of Beach Road.. It is very fresh..
The chef only prepare one chicken at a time... Not like most shop preparing in bulk. Sometime I had to wait for half an hour for the new cooked chicken to be serve...

Have you tried Alex's Eating House along Beach Road? The eatery faces Shaw Tower. Alex's has excellent roast duck. And if you go round the corner to Liang Seah Street, you will find the Liang Seah Coffeeshop which has very good chicken rice.

I still remember the Marina Mandarin Hotel "Hainan Chicken Rice" as the best I've ever tasted. No fight leh

the best chicken rice ive had, living in singapore the past 25yrs.
is from this chicken rice chain call "five-star". yummy yummy.. even my half a century yrs old dad says so..
you can find them at River Valley Road, Upper Bukit Timah.
"boon tong kee" is craps.. if anyone tells you to go there. forget bout it. expensive n lousy these days.
