A major misconception is that women get periods when they are pregnant. Bleeding is common but it's not actually your period. When a woman becomes pregnant her body no longer needs to ovulate nor release the lining of her uterus (period). The bleeding that occurs is usually just spotting or implantation bleeding. If you think you are pregnant and bleeding heavily go see your doctor immediately.

I had a friend that had her period regularly and she had had baby within the last year. She was having abdominal pain and she went to the hospital, she thought it was appendicitis. Well when she went to the hospital they did all the test and told her she did not have appendicitis that she was in labor. She was needless to say surprised. As she had her period and she had not really gained or lost the baby fat from the previous pregnancy.

Very. I spotted a lot during both my pregnancies and I remember my doctor telling me some women have full blown periods throughout their pregnancies.

It happens in some cases. Not everyone is the same. Some woman can have menstrual cycles for the first 3 months. Go to your Dr. and make sure everything is OK. Good luck.

It is very likely to have a period and still be pregnant. My 15 year old daughter is proof to that.
