It is important for you to find your own 'why', your own value and place in the great 'web' of life. What are your more unique gifts? What and where are your interests? Even better what is your 'passion' or driving interest within a balance in your life? The old catechism answer was 'To know, love and serve God in this world and to be happy with Him in the next.' was good, but I felt giving the answer before the person had the question. Great that you have the question! Good to keep before your mind's eye and watch yourself through a few days. Maybe you're a great listener. Or an observer. Or thinker. The gift of you is unique, so not quite like anyone else, and so you have to find your own answer. Your friends might give suggestions, but only you know ultimately. But life is a journey unfolding 'you' so new vistas and valleys still ahead. But know you are loved, and be that love for others in whatever way. Love is the answer and the question.

I'm inclined to say, "Because you haven't left yet."

In reality, we are all a big web. Sometimes we are here to help others, sometimes we are here to let others help us. In the end, this vast network of humanity only works if we get involved. Pick up a broom and start sweeping. Smile at the person in the car next to you. Offer your gardener a cold drink. Be willing to accept help from others and lend help wherever you can.

Life begins to make sense when you realize you are not your own and your life is better lived serving others.

By the way, this is not religious preaching. It happens to be the motto of a very successful company, Southwest Airlines.

Your are here to live a mark. A change. You are already some one special. And you do not need any one to tell you so. God loves you and he wants to reveal to you great things in a Supernatural Way. You choose your destiny by the choices that you make.

To make a difference no matter what little special thing you do that makes you or others smile is why you are needed, make a difference and why you are here!

Have a great day!

You are special in every way. Dance when no ones watching or while everyone is :^)

Depends on if your are asking why are you here on Yahoo answers or why are you here on earth. If you are asking the first question you probably want people to answer questions or just want someone to talk to.
If you are asking why are you here on earth only one person can answer that and that is god.
