Why do women not wear shoes anymore ?

Question

like semi sport ones, or leather ones, or other ones, just simply flip flops.

I mean in General... Summer, Spring, Fall, Winter is the same thing now.

I am not American , for sure, and there is cultural view about it and personally that comes from my parents and now I continue, I am just asking. I just compare the same exception made to shoes as the one that was made to British English, like everything is done the easier way, instead of repair the tv, buy one on credit to 12 months, instead of educate your kid, put in summer school, instead of wear shoes, go in bed slippers everywhere, and i am not critizising, if is good or bad is out of question, I am just exposing what I see.

Barefoot and pregnant is about weight gain and the need of a surface to rest that weight , that is very understandable, anyway Dr.Schols make a great swiss style with extra sole for pregnant ladies, like the Hospital style, but that is understandable.

If i read fashion magazines I were not a chinese consultant, I were a ... hummm. that...

Idiot because I do not read fashion magazines, hey that was a good joke....

More comfortable sometimes. Now, I would say it is because of summer. But the popularity of flip flops has really been going on for a while. I myself prefer flip flops to any other shoes if I have to wear shoes at all. Womens feet take a lot, I know mens feet do too, but womens shoes are not always made for comfort at all, more for looks. Also, the younger generation can afford flip flops instead of leather or sport shoes. The price of shoes has a lot to do with it I think also. But I see your point. In other countries flip flops are not very fashionable. (I am in America) leather shoes are really worn much more.

I personally love sandals if I have to go somewhere that requires shoes and I don't feel like putting on socks. I normally run around bare foot any place else. Though when I have to go to work I like a nice leather shoe and they are hard to find. I think people opt for the flip flops because they are more convenient, just slip your foot in and go. That is why i like sandals for days that I don't work. Another thing it is hard to find real shoes anymore. Half the time I buy guys shoes for my work shoes because what they offer for women's shoes suck. Though i still go back to the convenient factor as why women don't wear shoes anymore. With everything else they do to get ready for what ever who has time to tie shoes?

In my personal opinion being female i stopped wearing uncomfortable shoes after i had my first child. especially during the summer months because my feet still swell and that was 3 years ago. but other then that probably because flip flops r comfortable providing you can deal with the peg that goes between your toes
