It's much more difficult for us to be open with our emotions. As we grow up were told to be tough and "act like a man". In the end we realize that in order for us to function in the world and for people to be able to rely upon us we need to be stronger and work through or past our emotions in order to get where we need to go in life. So, when we come upon moments where people want us to "open up" and admit how we're feeling, we not only have difficulty letting our guard down, we also sometimes don't even know how we feel until we really think about it and try to reaquaint ourselves with what we've been bottling up.

Ya gotta realize that the inter-male part of our society sees a guy showing his feelings as a weekness, or hole in our armor. When a guy opens up like that, it usually brings on teasing, jokes, etc. We learn quickly to keep our traps shut. Over one's mind begins to associate "touchy feely" talk with being a wuss, and bein made fun of. Sad, bu true. This usually carries over into intergender dynamics. Jealousy is the one example that holds true for guy/girl talk. If he's jealous, the girl will become frustrated, and see him as insecure, or controlling. (often rightly so) If he's not talkin about what makes him feel jealous, try bringin it up with him. Tell him you want to know, so you can take steps to reassure him you're still into HIM. (Or dump him if the dude's a neurotic nut). At the very least, it'll start him to realizing that it's ok for him to be open with ya.

Guess what? Not EVERY guy is like that!! My ex husband was like that, and I have known a lot of guys that are like that, but my fiance is NOT like that at all. From day one he has been able to tell me exactly how he feels at all times, good or bad, no matter what. It is something that really has turned me on with him. It is a refreshing thing to hear from a man. I think that a real, true man WILL tell you exactly how he feels, all the time, and someone who isn't a real man won't. But, that's just my opinion. I am sure a lot of guys won't agree with that one.

simple answer, in most cases we do. It ios a natural tendancy for women to try to read more into a statement than what is actualy there. men are usualy to the point and don tuse coded phrases or secret language to say what they have to say. Thats a typicaly female trait. Although there are some of us who believe relating there feelings would, A) make them uncomfortable, b)Make them apear weak in there lovers eyes, c)just dont know how to say what they feel.
its a general rule: The first answer is never good enough for a female.

First of all, lets get something straight. There are 2 types of questions and 2 types of responses. FLUFF and SPECIFIC.
Your question is FLUFF because it suggest that you have been with every man on the planet to pose that question the way you do.
Please be specific if you are asking about a personal experience otherwise you just answered your own question. Fluff deserves Fluff.

Jealous about other guys you hang out with? That would imply that they have feelings for you, and perhaps they aren't ready to reveal that.
If you meant something else, please clarify.
