It's not entirely believable that we evolved from apes. If you have ever actually looked into the question you would know that animals do evolve. I'm a Christian and still don't refute the facts that "survival of the fittest" is an actual scientific process. People don't evolve from ants because they have an entirely different make-up than people. Ants have an exo-skeleton while mammals do not. One good example of things evolving are moths. During the industrial revolution in Europe many objects (trees) became covered with a light soot. The moths used to be able to camoflauge themselves on tress but couldn't anymore because of the soot on the trees. Survival of the fittest was demonstrated because all of the darker moths that blended in with the trees were not eaten by preadtors. When these dark colored moths began surviving they reproduced and their offspring were well-suited to their environment due to their dark color. Evolution can not be denied. How can you explain how some animals must be "2 sexes" so that they can ensure their population can continue? It's obvious that at one time those types of animals were either male or female and had to "evolve" to survive. The whole theory behind evolution is: "Those that are best-suited to their environment will survive." Maybe not all monkeys had problems with predators as others did, which means they had no reason to evolve. Darwin broke-it down very easily and demonstarted a gradual change that developed us into humans.

Did you know that you are only 2% different from a chimpanzee? That's right - human and chimpanzee genomes have been studied, and we have 98% of our genes in common with chimpanzees. Amazing, the differences born of that tiny fraction of our DNA.
Given that we are so similar in genetic makeup to the great apes, and considering the fossil record, the evidence certainly suggests that we and the great apes, at least, arose from a common ancestor somewhere far back in the dim and distant reaches of Earth's past. It's possible, likely even, that monkeys share that ancestor with us. BUT! We did NOT evolve from the monkeys you can see in zoos today.
Oh, and also, we DO become something else after we die. While the ultimate disposition of the human spirit or soul is a question for metaphysics and religion to address, I can tell you that, after you die, your body will become nutrients, largely nitrogenous, for the soil. The Earth really knows how to recycle. Pretty cool, eh?

you're properly, many people, who understand no longer something about evolution or organic determination or cells or DNA, incorrectly imagine that evolution signifies that "guy got here from monkeys". Monkeys and guy percentage a instantly ahead ancestor which become someway separated. as an instance; a tremendous river sprung up and created a barrier through the middle of the ancestor's habitat, consequently causing both communities to stay in diverse environments with diverse nutrients and predators, and blockading them from breeding with the gang in the course of the river. 1000's of years of diverse determination pressures (predators and nutrients availability) will reason both communities to evolve in yet otherwise and consequently branch off into new species. After a particular era of time they'd have replaced a lot that breeding with the different crew turns into biologically no longer obtainable because the DNA does no longer tournament up wisely. every time someone say this: What got here first; the chicken or the egg? you could reply, "We now do not ignore that the egg really got here first. It become laid through an animal which become the evolutionary ancestor to the well known day chicken. for sure the bounce from ancestor to chicken did not ensue in a unmarried era, yet would have taken many 1000's of years, yet this procedure will be symbolized through the egg containing an animal with such genetic enormous difference to it really is determine that it really is seen a clean species."

Hi Jazz
People don't believe we came from monkeys.
Firstly, science isn't about belief. It's about thinking, guessing, testing, checking, discussing and knowing. Religion is about belief.
Secondly (as pointed out ably above) macro-evolution isn't about humans "coming from monkeys". It suggests that humans and monkeys have common ancestors, much the same as caucasians and mongoloids have common ancestors, except on a larger scale. It suggests that even further back humans and ants had common ancestors.
If you are a religious person, remember that there doesn't have to be a conflict between your religion and science. Science *works* (if it didn't, you wouldn't be able to read my reply from Australia on this internet-thing, would you?). So look to your religion to learn about your god, and look to nature and science to learn about the universe.
Hope this helps!

our genes are so close to apes that researchers have come up with the illusion that they are our ancestors, but if you are a Bible thumper, you may say otherwise. I am undecided. I think that if a person was to be reincarnated and come back as a human (from an ant) they wouldn't be able to remember the transition. It is like starting with a fresh slate. I don't know what I believe, so don't judge me by what I wrote. They are just ideas!

Many Scientist such as Carl Sagen believe in something called evolution...((which means the concept that embodies the belief that existing animals and plants developed by a process of gradual, continuous change from previously existing forms))...this seems to be the answer to all of the questions about human creation. Human creation is based on Scientific Theory's. And just to let you know...scientific ""theory's"" are not necessarily true, they are just guesses made by people who think that they know all the secrets of our universe...soo depending on who you ask some people believe that we did come from early humans not quite monkey's but relatives and some people believe that people came from a greater being such as God,and also some people don't even care...now back to your question about people who die and come as something else, first of all it is called reincarnation which is commonly believed by buddist and it is more based on buddism religion than scientific facts and reaserch...

We came from a common ancestor of the great apes, not monkeys.
Ants and humans don't have tails.
Boy are you dumb! It's gonna be a while before you evolve intelligence and by then I suspect you'll be extinct.

WE DID NOT COME FROM MONKEYS! this is a fundamnetal flaw in the reasoning of religious fundamentalists in attempting to decipher the theory of evolution. Evolution does not say that man evolved from apes, apes and men and monkeys simply had a common ancestor whom we all evolved away from millions of years ago and now in our present state, which is more or less perfectly suited to the environment in which we live. This is true of all beings and we all evolved from a single common ancestor millions and possibly billions of years ago, not from one divine creator several thousand years ago.

Not from monkeys , but from a common ancestor. Flu virus mutates as it circles the globe. What might be deadly in China, might be innocuous in the US. Why do you not think this can happen on a grander scale?
