Place aluminum foil on the ground loosely around the base of the plant. The relection from the sun on the aluminum foil will confuse the aphids and they will simply leave. They don't know which way is up with the foil on the ground. :-)

If there are ants also with the aphids, you need to get rid of the ants before releasing Ladybugs. The ants kill Ladybugs.

Blast them off with the water from a hose. Besure to do it in the early morning when they're active.
