i go to the internet and i want to see some videos from websites. the video uses a smaller version of windows media player. the video stays black and never loads. i right click on it and it says error details. the details say "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is located on the Internet, connect to the Internet. If the file is located a removable storage card, insert the storage card." this happens to me on website such as funnyjunk and ebaumsworld help me plz.

This problems depends on 2 conditions:
1st : You media player version, better to be 9 or 10 and some movie need codecs [Like DivX movies' codecs] to be played .
2nd : You are streaming a movie . . . that will need a faster connection, I think dial up will be useless to stream videos online.

Update your windows media player...They're up to 9 or 10 now

I'd make sure I have Adobe Flashplayer installed. A lot of times, this will fix it.

Is your firewall preventing the content from coming across?

Sometimes depending on your style of computer you have to add in a plug in
