Pond is 50' x 60' and is fed by a natural spring. I would like it to remain natural and not put in a liner. But it loses too much water.
Is there a natural product that can be put on the pond bottom that will seal it?
Right now the pond is dry

Yes, you can scatter lime in it. The lime seeks the leaks and plugs them like cement.

My uncle did it for his farm ponds & it always worked. He scattered it over the entire pond.

I bet you could contact your local Dept Of Agriculture office and get details on how to do it.

As you know the water level is determined by the water table, If you have not had much rain then the pond water level will subside. Installing a rubber liner can be costly, if you live in FL. you can install a well using a well kit that Home Depo sells for about $60.00 and 3/4 of a days work. You can add a pump on that well and water your lawn as well as keep your pond water level in check.

Most all of the answers sound good. You may also want to check that you don't have any animals such as a muskrat that are burrowing into the sides of the pond and causing it to leak out water. Also any trees that are planted around the pond will soak up a lot of water out of the pond, especially if the trees are big and with that small of a pond.
