In Physics, u would learn that lightning is always more attracted towards the sharp objects or pointed objects as a rod over a building or pin over ur umbrella etc. We see that the roof of a train is somewhat flat and due to this, trains are not prone to lightning.

most likely because a train sits on a metal track
the lighting goes strait to ground with little resistance and the long stretch of track help the lighting dissipate

they dont stay still long enough to draw the ions that cause lightning.
