I was "gothic" before they came up with the idea to call them "gothic." Now that I look back at myself, I think I was stupid. It's fun to be rebellious when you are young though. That's what I was doing, rebelling, not trying to be "gothic" or anything because I thought it was cool. It was cool to rebel, it is still cool to rebel sometimes.

I love em! Wait...I am one! So are my husband and our 2 kids. Just so you guys do know, I am not depressed in any way, my mom sent me to a shrink when i started dressing like I do and he looked straight at her after talking to me for an hour and said there was NOTHING wrong with me. He also told her that I am one of the happiest and most self-confident people he had met in years. My child that is currently born (i'm pregnant), is constantly told how beautiful his smile is and he never stops smiling and laughing. He is in no way sheltered from other people and he loves to give hugs to anyone....even the cashier at the store. We may look a little odd and act kinda strange, but look deeper when you see us...You might be missing something great.

Everybody always seems to view goths as incredibly wierd, pentogram covered, scary people, who you should stay away from. But apparently, these people don't know goths at all. Gothic people are some of the nicest people I've ever met, and while their taste in fashion does seem somewhat...strange...to me, I still love 'em.

I probably identify with them more than any other "type" of people (I hate it when people are put under labels like that). Some of these "Goths" have been the nicest people I've ever met, as they tend to not judge you on your physical appearance etc (I'm in high school, and everyone else in the dump are @$$holes). Just remember- "Judge not, lest ye be judged".

The same as I think of everybody else - I hold no opinion until I meet them personaly and have a conversation with them.

I do not judge books by there covers, and I believe that we all have more in common than we have to differentiate us.

Usually it's just a phase. They aren't any different from anyone else other than they like to feel the weight of the world on their shoulders because they feel no one cares. Most eventually get over it.
