Well it would better their team. But the sixers are not going to trade Allen iverson for nothing. I mean he is their franchise player. He is their franchise. The will lose money and fans if they do it. and i don't think that it has even crossed their mind to trade Allen iverson. And what group of players would even be good enough to be traded for iverson. My opinion if the Celtics can make it happen they should do it. But i don't think that it will ever happen. Allen is a 6er for life.

True they could use a good point guard. They did acquire Sebastian Telfair which would be a great backup for Iverson. However I'm not an Iverson fan and I've always thought he was overrated and just isn't a winner. But then again the Celtics are pathetic and Iverson would still be an improvement

i somewhat imagine that Iverson will be traded to the Celtics. commerce out Iverson is 100% strong for Sixers. Chris Webber can play his own type of basketball and no want to compromise with Iverson. also, with strong shooter Wally Z, 76ers would change right into a effectual team after Iverson go away. compared, it really is catastrophe for Celtics. Pierce is already an exceedingly brilliant scorer and did nicely in very last season. Iverson's large ego received't enable him lower than the shadow of Pierce. also, their submit and position contained in the team are similar. same to Knick's Marburry and Francis. i don't think of that Pierce and Iverson will both have sparkal for the communities. To finish, Iverson is the bomb for each team.

I would say no. Pierce is the primary scorer for the Celts, and I can't see him taking a backseat to Iverson. Allen needs to be the focal-point of whatever team he goes to, with a capable side-kick. This actually worked pretty well with AI and Webber, but the team was lousy defensively and not many other people stepped up.

1st off "ohyeahthatscrit" - iverson's not a winner? where were you in 2001? you musta just heard of a ggame called basketball yesterday.

6ers cannot trade iverson. iverson's style of play identifies with philly (heart and soul). All he needs is quality help. besides celtics would probably have to empty their squad to get him. work done? zero

The people who have answered this so far, don't seem to realize Iverson's natural position is SG.
The Celtics NEED to make this deal happen. I don't care what it takes.

If they can they should, assuming they can keep Pierce in the process. They're in limbo land right now. At this point, either they have to get rid of Pierce and rebuild or get him some help and make a run. The franchise has a lot of history and a lot of pride and they've been rolling over and dying for years. It's time they went for something.

Iverson IS A WINNER but i think he needs to go toa place where they have a good big man. Like dwight howard in orlando or KG in Minnesota. I think even better with Ben Wallace.

a tough call since iverson wont have too many years left but on the whole it would be an exciting prospect and make the celts an iimmediate contender

yes they should, they put Delonte West as the pg and put AI at the sg positoin and Pierce at the sf position and have Al Jefferson at the pf spot and Ratliff at center then you have a serious playoff team. there bench will be pretty good too.

Although it is more than likely bad for the 76ers but it could turn out good for them if they get good talent in return for AI.
