It looks like that system can be upgraded up to 256MB. Assuming that you have the documentation it should show you how to open the case. Here is a link to what Kingston memory sells for that system:

YES! Up to 256Mb will be recognized by your BIOS firmware...
AND, most any EDO SDRAM of 100 or 133mhz speed will do it!
BUT, no one else here mentioned the problems that could BLOW YOUR SYSTEM! Electro Static Discharge precautions are: that you ground yourself to bleed off any static in your body, and BEST is to use an ANTI-Static Wrist Strap (ESD bracelet - $1.99 up), with the wire hooked to the case on some bare metal, like the edge of the case...
Wear one whenever handling ANY electronic parts in your computer, or when opening ANY anti-static wrappping! Peeling off a piece of tape, or opening any clear bubble wrap, can build up a static charge of thousands of volts which could kill your components!!!

Please verify your laptop instruction manual. If it point out 4GB max, mean you have 4 RAM slot. as a result you need to purchase 4 1GB RAM to make it to be 4GB Max. yet no longer all laptop waiting to take mixture ram length. It mean which you will positioned yet another 3 computers of 512MB to characteristic as much as two GB. yet once you combine with 2 x 1GB RAM with your cutting-edge 512MB RAM, you need to run into worry. in case you hate to be sure instruction manual, call up the laptop Tech help. :)
