Wow for a minute there I thought you were talking about Republicans, after all they did cut federal funding for New York and LA. Hey then again I don't smoke from the same pipe that you Republicans have to be hitting pretty hard to believe the crap that comes out of your mouths.

Okay, I don't think this has to do with parties. Sometimes I think Americans in general are obsessing too much about "security". All they can think of is "this is for our own good". Why can't they see that our freedom - the one thing that makes us so different from any other country - is at stake here? Have you ever heard of a maximum SECURITY prison?! Are we so afraid of everything that we'll gladly and blindly throw away all our freedom, our privacy and our Bill of Rights because some politicians say we'll be safer? Come on! Do you believe what politicians say? Do you believe that the majority of them aren't out there for what they can get?

I think you have it half right,,,,both parties seem not to care about national security - the border issue is just one that both parties seem to not care about. and before you say the democrats are weak on national security,,,was it the Democrats who were trying to rush a deal through improper channels to give our port's management to Saudi Arabia (home of most of the 9/11 hijackers)? Nope, it was the Republicans, so both parties have a lot of reflection that must go on before throwing the "national security" rock.

Just because they tell you that questioning what they do is somehow unpatriotic doesn't make it true. Try reading more, thinking more, and reacting less.

If losing a war against a country who never attacked us and never threatened us is national security, then I'd be against it too.

Iraq is a republican war and Iraq will be known in history as the biggest foreign policy failure in US history.

PS: Anyone who says that Democrats and Republicans are alike IS A REPUBLICAN.

Democrats and Republicans alike. Neither party does anything for me. I'm voting Independent in 08.

While I definetely agree with you on this issue, I have to say that they live in a different world than we do, and think in different ways. I barely understand, but I do have a little understanding, since I suffer from a light case of liberalism myself. Yes, it's tough at times, people almost want to put a gay pride sticker on my truck and paint it yellow for me!! lol Just kidding, but really, I consider liberals to be like the naive but wellmeaning people of our time. I think we need to try to work together to find a middle ground.

You are right. We should never vote for those damned Republicans that got into a grudge war with Iraq, which even today threatens our security.

Why do Republicans think Iraq is some key national security risk?

meanwhile Osama, who did kill 3,000 already, is just sitting out there and Bush said he "doesn't care where he is"...

YEAH... I FEEL REALLY SAFE AND NATIONAL SECURITY IS OBVIOUSLY YOUR PRIORITY... HAHAHA

They say they are the party of "facts" yet have none to back up the KEY FOUNDATIONS OF THEIR ACTIONS UNDER THIS ADMINISTRATION...

Do you really believe bush has given you security? Look how many Americans now travel the world.. Very few. Security begins at home and real security is not constantly looking over your shoulder. OPEN YOUR eyes please.....
