Put together an album (portfolio) of tables you have designed for wedding buffets, breakfasts etc include not only the flowers but tableware and examples of menus for these include a price per head for these.
Have a selection of entertainment ideas ie discos and prices, bands etc
Venues with pictures and info on how many people they hold
Get information on how you go about applying for an extended licencing hours
Caterers
Catalogues from wedding clothing stores, hairdressers and limousines, horse and carriages etc
Ideas of what to give as a wedding keepsake to the guests and a selection of presents for the bridesmaids etc
Basically you need photos of every aspect of a wedding from the days before to transporting the presents and flowers to thank people to returning glasses etc after the wedding.
You need much more than people skills, you also need amazing organisation skills and be able to juggle 100 things at once and to have all problems sorted on time
Once you have your portfolio and contacts like hair and make up people (ones that will come to the house are best) you will need business cards made up so you can leave them in jewellers, restaurants, hotels, salons etc
Information on suitable honeymoon destinations, the different packages hotels provide along with vaccinations and how to change the name on the passports.
Remeber this may be just a job to you but to the bride and groom including mothers etc this is the most important day of their lives
There are loads more but this will start you off

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.
Associations may be a good avenue to explore as well. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.
Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:
* How To Start A Wedding Planning Business by Cho Phillips, Sherrie Wilkolaski
* Start Your Own Wedding Consultant Business: Your Step-By-Step Guide to Success by Eileen Figure Sandlin
* FabJob Guide to Become a Wedding Planner by Catherine Goulet
* How to Start a Home-Based Event Planning Business by Jill Moran
* Start Your Own Event Planning Business: Your Step by Step Guide to Success by Krista Turner
I also posted links to some free articles in the source box.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Yes Again VOT speaks of what she does not know. The Watchtower, 10/15/05 page 17 In the 1920’s, a few Albanian immigrants to the United States who were associated with the International Bible Students, as Jehovah’s Witnesses were then known, returned to Albania to share what they had learned. Among these was Nasho Idrizi. Some people responded favorably. To care for the increased interest, in 1924 the Romanian office was assigned oversight of the preaching work in Albania. The JW's were first known as "The International Bible Students". So there were "Jehovah's Witnesses" in the 1800's. The whole concept of the light getting brighter is crap. I would disagree that the whole religion has back flipped on its previous beliefs. In reference to the "New Light" on their understanding o the 1914 generation, yes they have. But the question remains for Vot and all the other JW "New Lighters" what harm would it have done for God to reveal to Russell at the founding of your organization, the entire "truth" as you understand it today? Name one instance where it would have been a bad thing. Name one instance of "New Light" that would have traumatized the early Witnesses. Name one instance that they would not have been prepared for. In fact, it has harmed the JW movement far more by this gradual "I. V. Drip" of information, for example, as you scramble to and fro making six false claims as to the time period when Armageddon would come, none of which happened. Each time, "New Light" rescued you. "New Light" makes The Witnesses look foolish. Notice that God gave the Israelites the complete religion, all at once. During the succeeding centuries, with all the prophets and holy men, he didn't change it one bit. debbie2243: What knowledge of Jehovah? The knowledge of when Arnageddon is going to come? Do you have a 7th prediction? With the contradictions in your literature, there is no basis for you to claim any "divine" inspiration, unless God inspires loony stuff like this from "The Truth Shall Make You Free" (1943) pp.284-285, ch.XXii "THE TIME OF THE END" "Man on earth can no more get rid of these demonic "heavens" than man can by airplane or rockets or other means get up above the air envelope which is about our earthly globe and in which man breathes. God alone can and will deliver humankind from such demon powers of control." Man can't travel in space! Alert NASA!! This is a "truth" from Jehovah? By the way Debbie or any JW, answer my question above. Try "walking by sight" and actually reading some of the stuff the Society puts out, the "truths from Jehovah". Can you get a transplant this week or not? I hope you don't need one when the "truth" says no. Many who did, died.
