I don't know yet, but I'll probably find out tomorrow. I have a neighbor who just came over to ask me to help him with his laptop. Seems he just updated to Yahoo's latest version of messenger and now he cant get any web services to run, can't get to email, can't chat, etc.

Wish me luck on a speedy resolution. Yes, I'm a techie, too. This is surely one of the most interesting dancing questions of the evening for me... I should be practicing my Argentine Tango right now... Literally... but I'm home checking on Yahoo Answers for Dance questions.... and answering off topic ones that sound more than vaguely familiar.... sheesh!

P.S. Sherbear8521: AIM (AOL's messenger) is free, it's available separate from the AOL Internet service that of course is not free.

what do you mean? like AOL is more advanced? that is a good Q. because I think Yahoo! has been around for longer...but maybe AOL is trying to give you something to be happy about considering the fact of how angry people get because of how slow they are...and maybe Yahoo! is not as advanced baecause we have alot more than AOL. Or just in general.

I'd probably say yahoo is pretty decent for being free..I can't complain. Better than paying an arm and a leg for a glorified messenger like AoL

I think all the booters from AOL moved over to Yahoo and Yahoo is trying stop it by not allowing ycht anymore but you still can get booted if you are using messenger, I use a small chat client called Yaheh, but another good one is yazak or ytunnel. I use Yaheh because a lot of booters are chat client specific(or so I have been told.) and Yaheh is so small booters dont target it and it doesnt crash like yahoo messenger does.
