Sea World in Ohio was bought by Six Flags and had its name changed to Six Flags Worlds of Adventure until it was abruptly sold to Cedar Fair (owners of Cedar Point) just a few years back. It now operates as Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom

coasterman and ledzeplinhair are almost totally correct...seaworld and geauga lake were across the water from each other, as 2 seperate parks. Six flags purchased both and connected them and added stuff to them., but pretty much shut down the marine side and toned it down a bit. Then Cedar Fair LP purchased that six flags location, renamed it back to geauga lake, and changed it up. It was not an abrupt purchase, it was in the works for a long time. I was higher up in employment at cedar point at the time, and i know what happened. A lot of fellow employees now work for geauga.

They were bought by Six Flags, when Six Flags bought out Geauga Lake. So, now Geauga bought themselves back from Six Flags, and I think they turned Sea World into some other type of zoo/auquarium.

I remember going to the OH Sea World when I was a kid, but had never thought about what they did w/animals in winter. Prob like others, they kept most inside & for water animals in correct temp water. Name at one time was also Geauga Lake or the amusement park next to it was Geauga Lake. Something like that. I was young & dont remember that much of it anymore. Just was fun.

Its still there. Cedar Faire bought it from Six Flags and turned it into Geauga Lake. that was the original name of the theme park untill Six Flags bought it. but its still there and is called Geauga Lake.
