Soak the nails in warm water for about 5-10 minutes then lift then from the back of the nail up only if the nail has grown and you have a space on it if not do it from the tip of the nail with a the thin part of the cuticle remover push it in there and they should pop right out.

nail polish remover with acetone is the only thing I know of that will do it. It's what the nail salons around here use. Aside from just pulling them off, you may be out of luck.

otoh, polish remover with acetone doesn't cost much. I say take a trip to the store, and keep it seperate from the other nail products so your mom doesn't accidentally use it.

Sorry. Can you go over a friends house and soak them off with acetone there? The only other way is to very carefully file the acrylic away. If you choose this path, try to do some, every other day. If you overfile, you can get very painfull nail beds.

You HAVE to soak them in acetone nail polish remover for about half an hour before you can start picking them off.

The bet way I've found is to use 100% acetone. Put some on a cotton ball & wrap your fingers, one by one, in tin foil with the cotton ball on it. It takes an hour or two, but you can scrape them off with an orange stick. The only other way would be to fix that one nail & just let them start to grow out. They will all start lifting or get easier to get off soon.

You have no choice. You should soak them. (sorry)

Lifting them off the nail is not healthy-- you r nails are week enough withthe acrylics and lifting them will take away another layer of nail.

if you have no acetone you might be out of luck. try biting the nail so it cracks in half down the middle, THEN attempting to lift them off.

I can't think of anything but soaking it in acetone. It will literally break off in the acetone

The only way I have done it painlessly is soaking in acetone--otherwise you will rip and damage your real nail.

The only way to get them off without hurting is to go buy the fingernail polish remover. Just keep your mom away from it! sorry!!
