i was trying to find out if u guy's kno a site that i can go to to find out about my taxes

It depends what you are trying to find out. IRS.gov is fairly friendly. If you have a question, you can search. If you are trying to find out if your taxes have been filed or where your refund is, you can find out there. Call them on their 800 number (on the website) for more specific questions. Or email them a question and they will get back to you. You can also call HR block and ask them a question, but be sure to ask for an experienced preparer.

I had water damage in my house. I had to get a contractor but he did not do the work. we did the work and the contractor is going to give me a 1099 as the sub contractor. I have all my receipts and it went over the amount we were given. I added a 1099 miscellaneus but i also added to personal property and added how much insurance money was given. How does this affect my 1040 return?
