I very much enjoyed Mobile and the surrounding countryside. I probably should have stayed, there, too, instead of later going on to meet a girl I had corresponded with on the Internet. THAT, however, is a long and other story. (Short form: ugly, stupid, trashy, and a disaster a minute for the whole Memorial Day weekend.)

We just got back from vacation and Huntsville was our last stop. I have a friend there and surprisingly, there are tons of things to do there. I'm trying to convince the hubby to move there. Maybe after my two older boys graduate.

yes there are several areas throught out alabama that are nice
in the northern part you have the space center that is great and then you have gulf shores in the southern part....try this website
www.vrbo.com and pick an area in al. and have fun...they also have great lakes and just all around family fun.....

No. but I went there for Basic Training. It's not so bad, a little humid mid summer, the people seemed nice, for the most part.
