I'm gay and have known I was different for years. I have a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling and Theological Studies. I have a Masters of Science in Social Work, along with my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and other titles--I'm not into all those labels. Religious folk like to use the Sodom and Gamorah story from the Old Testament Bible as to why homosexuality is wrong. That story is about the cities not being hospitable. And the apostle Paul wrote several letters to the Corinithians, the Ephesians, etc. And he loves to put in all his letters something about "men lying with men" and "women lying with women". I truly believe from all my studies that Paul's admitted "thorn in the flesh" was that he was gay and struggling to come to terms with his homosexuality. He often says, "I do the very things I wish not to do, and don't do the very things I wish I would do." Be that as it may, I know I was born gay. I am loved unconditionally by my God, my family, and many friends. I've done alot of research on "homosexuality", and there is a gene present in those who are gay which is not present in those who are straight. Hope this helps.

it is not wrong - people dont just become gay they are born that way - it is not a choice. People do try and fight it but to no avail. Society is the one that thinks it is wrong. It is as if it tests their own sexuality, especially hetrosexual men it would seem. You dont have to advertise the fact that you are gay but there are many people in the same boat and do enjoy a full life and have good solid relatinships that last. Lately, more prominent people are admitting to being gay and society in general will come to terms with it but it is a very slow process - so just enjoy being alive and try to find inner peace and happiness.

As far as AIDS goes, remember ITS A STRAIGHT DISEASE. 80% of the people infected with aids are straight.

Its not. Remember, 6 million Jews, gypsies and gays died in the Holocaust because Germans said nothing (they weren't saying it was okay to kill jews but silence usually implies consent. However we have to realize they were probably as scared of their government as we were). So just because the MAJORITY of a population says something doesn't make them right. Every mammalian species on this planet includes gay animals. Why should humans be any different??? Gay is Fantastic! Doubles your wardrobe when you find the right man! : )))

tough question, as the definition of "wrong" will garner many different view points. I base my beliefs on the bible so therefore that is where my "wrong" viewpoint comes from. The fundamental thing is that it is not natural -- but to you it seems natural and therefore that's the rub. It can be "wrong" to many but right for you. But ask yourself this: could it be a mental defect that makes you feel the way you do? A chemical thing possibly ?

It is only the people who do not understand enough and are not tolerant enough about the rights of others to live as they do - they are the ones who think it is wrong.

Love is for everyone. Everyone deserves to love and be loved.

For anyone to tell me who I can and cannot love is a crime. That's what's wrong. Not being Gay.

How Dare they impose their belief system on me.
what is this? Why are we still in the dark ages?

This question assumes that being gay is somehow wrong. It is not, and thus any straight-forward answer to the question would be misleading just like the question.

Where did you get that idea? I am gay and it is great....I consider myself to be very lucky in life, have a great home, great friends, wonderful lover, terrific dog, the best business partner anyone could want, and my life is filled with volunteering to whip Cancer, Ballroom Dancing, my business which keeps me hopping and prosperous, and my kids. I don't hide, and I don't flaunt. I am just me. Good luck in life.

Not happy gay. But gay as in homosexual isn't wrong, but having sex with them is. I guess it really just depends on your opinion. That's what mine is.
P.S.
I LOVE "Will and Grace"!
