You had to know that this question would bring the liberals out of the woodwork. President Bush has done a great job. No president will please all of the people. I am amazed more at the hatred than anything else. When I was reading the responses to your question, I found it interesting that many felt he had turned his back on them. When??? What do they want him to do? Most importantly why not hold all of congress responsible for their votes and behavior, why pin it all on President Bush? I do mean all of congress too, take a look at everyones voting records, I think some would be surprised.

I think one of the major reasons that he appears to be bad is his relationship with the media and other public figures, whether it’s celebrities, musicians, etc. They generally give the public its perception on how to view a person.
If the media and others want to constantly state that someone is an idiot who fooled the nation and makes decisions for personal gains, then the public will see him as that. If they report that a man fights for freedom and protects the world from evil dictators then the public will perceive him as that. The media can even save a man and say that he was not at fault for all the decisions made and put someone else as a sacrificial goat. And it all does not matter whether it is right or wrong, it just depends on the message that is conveyed to the masses.
In fact, I think this makes for a great question:
Do you think if the media and all public figures were behind the president would he still be viewed as unfavorably?

I assume you from the United States? Well I guess if you have been paying attention and feel this is his best...but his best has sort of been thumbing his nose at the court system and the constitution of the United States...many could say i supose that Adolf Hitler was doing his best..seldom does a person in authority purposely do there worst...although tis could be arguably the very worst a president of the United States has ever performed..there are many reasons I could point out as to why Americans or most of them are against Bush but they are so obvious that I see no rerason to point them all out here those like yourself do not agrre with the perspective of the ones who agree with me and it tends to be a waste of time pointing out the obvious.

surely you must have said that in jest. Some see him and think he can't pass the test. We look at Iraq and say aloud oh what a mess. Now to stop what you started he is a joke of a president and a person. He says he is Christian but then why does he let the people who remain homeless in New Orleans still suffer? So you are dammed skippy when you say I have turned against this president.

We've always been against this president! He has stolen both elections, lead us into war with no means to an end, took our rights away from the constitution. Trampled over human rights for corporate benefit. Allied with Dick Cheney to utilize Halliburton to take over Iraqi oil interests for personal profit. Appointed neoCon Judges to the Supreme Court. Exploited, tortured, and lied, packaged it up and sold it to Americans. And there is more. I could continue rambling on but now I'm getting p.o.ed.
DOING HIS BEST IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! EFFORT IS FOR STRUGGLING STUDENTS AND ATHLETES, THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT NOT A SPECIAL OLYMPICS TEAM!

this is why
If I'm critical of my country's leaders, I'm a traitor. "
The horrible tyranny that is being created by the Bush junta is a threat to the entire world. For the first time in its history, Western Civilization as a whole is in danger of being destroyed by a corrupt, criminal ruling cabal which is centered around the Rockefeller interests, which include elements from the Morgan, Brown,
Rothschild, DuPont, Harriman, Kuhn-Loeb, and other groupings as well.
This junta took control of the political, financial, and cultural life of America in the first two decades of the twentieth century.
The Bush family, beginning with Prescott Bush, have served as satraps of the Rockefeller, Brown, and Harriman interests. President Bush is simply a puppet of this powerful cabal, and their schemes will be
carried out by whatever next president comes to power unless We the People deflect them from this insane, murderous plot for global dom- inance
Millions of people's lives have been destroyed by lack of knowledge in the past. Today, Billions more may succumb to the lies and hatred of those who strive with all their might to mold our perceptions and
minds. There exists a small group of powerful people, David Rockefeller is one of them, who today command vast fortunes and they wish to own and control the entire world for themselves. A small number of the
rich and powerful have learned how to incrementally control the vast majority of us through our own individual prejudices, desires, and greed. When stacked up, that represents almost a total power monopoly
over humanity into a few hands.

I think our president is doing a great job. He is making a lot of tough decisions and i think he has done well. We just have a liberal media that wants to make a conservative president look bad. Half our country is dumb enough to believe that everything they hear on tv or on the internet is true.

Who are you kidding.....?
Yourself I guess. Could so many people just so happy to dislike him for no good reason?
Look how many Americans are STILL dying @ war and yet your president claims the war's over......what a crying shame.
Bad enough he barged in to the middle east-even though he had no right going against the rest of the world's decision..,now he doesn't even have enough good sense to leave. You know why? Because he's not the one having to fight to stay alive-it's propaganda!!!

First off, I don't think that most of the country's population has turned against him.
1. The media has always had it in for him
2. Poll questions are never listed next to the percentages.
3. The more conservitive you are the more likely you are to hang up on pollsters calling.
Second, I think people are disappionted by the insurgency in Iraq. (perpetuated by non-Iraqis on the most part)
Third, in our short attention span, we have forgotten 9-11.

... well... he makes TONS of poor policy decisions...
let's look at a few...
No Child Left Behind has turned into a nightmare, with many states suing the government over it, the medicaid prescription plan only works for about half the seniors and they can't even understand it, Harriet Meyers and ports.. hahahah, nominating "Brownie" to head FEMA leading to a huge disaster, nominating Bolton to the U.N. (it's like nominating Hitler to be your Israeli ambassador), CIA leak, CIA chief nominations, warrantless wiretapping, saying he didn't "care" where Osama is and much more...
that's not even talking about Iraq... which is a whole other list of poor policy decisions...
I don't hate him... it just seems like he takes about 5 minutes to make very important decisions... it's like he acts before he thinks... and that gets annoying after a while
and granted... the Republican controlled congress shares a great deal of burden for many of these decisions as well, but he also signed the bills...
where are all of his "good decisions"?
