i have i have been to a lot of places there, like i have been to Rio rancho, Albuquerque, Bernalio, Corralas, Las Vegas, Alameda, Tucumcari, Clovis, Carlsbad, Glorieta, Belen, Cedar Crest, Moriarity, Flying C, Santa Rosa, Clines Corners, Placites, Roswell, Riodoso, Espanola, Santa Fe, Gallop, and Cuba. yeah those are the places that i have been to in New Mexico. warning new mexico is really dry. it is a desert they barely get rain or snow. it doesn't have much green plants (compared to other places) get used to there not being very much snow. when it does snow the kids get a snow day for school, because they aren't prepared for it. you will start hearing jokes about it. the state bird is the road runner. some good things about it though is they have the best Mexican food you can't get it any better there. i would suggest going out to eat at a mexican restraunt there. it is good. they don't really have any tornados because they are surrounded by mountains. they don't really have any natural disasters. all they have is wind. so get used to dirt devels. it is a very good state to live in, if u do move there i think you will like it a lot. i did. i wish i could go back. well i would suggest to go see the carls bad caverns it is awesome. seriously, okay well i bet that u are getting tired of reading about it but if u have any other questions just e-mail me. k?

The northern part is much nicer and not as hot summer. Northeast gets more snow in the winter then the northwest or the 4 Corners area. If you are into winter sports or hunting northeren part is the best also the views are nicer and less crowded. Farmington/Bloomfield/ Aztec near the 4 corners is really a great jumping off to Colorado and Utah also Grand Canyon and Lake Powell. The northeasten part is more pricey.
and very scenic.
I personally wouldn't live anywhere near south or the Mexican border the crime rate is high!
I don't live in NM but have investment properties and rentals and I do invest in areas I wouldn't personally live.

I've lived in new mexico since 1966 and in albuquerque since 1973. i love it here. its high desert, meaning its hot,dry most of the time and the altitude here is 5280 feet above sea level. wear sunscreen in the summer because the the UV can give you a terrible sunburn. if your from sea level, you need to take it easy or you'll get light headed. there are plenty of things to do and albuqueruqe is about 600,000 people so we're not a frontier town like in the westerns. if you decide to visit, WELCOME.
