if you aren't sure, even a little bit unsure its a very definite NO! this is a lifetime commitment, not a friday night at the club and its harder than you can ever imagine. i always tell people to look at it this way..its a for better or worse deal, think of the worse end of things, imagine he is in an accident and you then have to spend your life feeding him and changing his diapers...would you still want to be with him? it happens and THAT is what marriage is, anybody can stay committed and happy when things are going well but the one guarantee you have is that things won't always go well.

If you have any doubts, do not do it. If you accepted a ring, you need to give it back to him and go your seperate ways so you both can mature as individuals. After a time, maybe the issue can be revisited,but it would have to be a mutual decision.You owe that to not only him,but yourself as well. Good luck.

you shoukd tell him that you are just not sure yet, if he loves you he'll understand. Tell him you need some time and decide what you want. Maybe, you can accept the proprosal, but wait a while for the wedding.

Like the first person said, if you have any doubts, don't do it. You don't have to cut all ties to the guy, but don't jump in without knowing what you're getting yourself into. Sounds like you need to get to know this guy a little more. ;)

tell him you're not sure and you need time to figure it out. if he pressure's you into making an immediate decision, then you need to decide if he's someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.
