Professional, proper and let's not forget traditional. Always has and always will be the skirt suit. However your best source to that question is always your employer. True many companies are becoming less formal in the work area and it is becoming widely acceptable but look at your top corporations. Remember it is a business and the concept is to exude professionalism and most of the greats believe in tradition.

The traditional office attire is a skirt suit, which was suggested to me for interviewing as well.

Both are professional. What typically makes a suit non-professional are the accessories. Pairing a nice suit with a low cut, or too short of a shirt/blouse, destroys the suit itself. It is smart to remember, you're not dressing for the club (which some of our young professionals seem to be forgetting)... you're dressing to impress.

It depends on the job, if you are conservative about it then you should be fine wearing a skirt. If the males say anything it is considered sexual harassment so it would be in there best intrest not to say anything. Whatever you feel confortable wearing then just wear it and stand up for your slef if anything happens.... As for make up... it depends as well... I prefer to wear makeup at work i think it seems more professional especially if you are wearing suits.... just dont over do it! Good Luck!

Since I am a female, consider myself more as a tomboy, I prefer pants suits.

First of all, these are the 2000's and "suits" are not necessary. You can mix and match and still look professional.

pant suits. We are no longer the minority in the business place. However, I think in an arena where you need to distinguish yourself as a lady, a skirtsuit would do just fine.

Hi. I believe that either of those outfits are professional, as long as you are not wearing mini skirts.....true professionalism is based on your work ethic.
