I would love to go back to the start of the last century. Everything we take for granted today was just at the beginning and very exciting, i.e. cars, planes, electricity, machines.

Am I the only one who would travel back to when Microsoft stock went public in 1986, and arrange for some way to buy Microsoft stock, so that by the time I get back to my real time, I'd be filthy rich? LOL The real trick would be getting ahold of money in that time, so maybe I would go back a little earlier, to find some way of making as much money to invest initially as possible. Sure, they're an evil corporation, right, but they obviously made it without my money before, so why not benefit from it too? :)

Addendum: My first thought was Microsoft, but it doesn't have to be that. I found a good website for what "super stocks" to buy if you travel into the past. :) Dang, I think I'd have to take a laptop with me, with more specific information, so that I don't forget it! Plus, I'd want to have games to play... I wouldn't want to be stuck with the Caleco and Atari during that time...lol

I would journey with Jason and the Argonauts, or probably Alexander the Great, although that last one's a tad controversial... I would do such a thing for the great adventures and exercise.

More realistically, I would go back in time and persuade my parents to let me do sports... oh, the missed chances...

I would also stop Hitler (obvious reasons), go back to the beginning of humanity on Earth to see if we are really descended from apes, extraterrestrials, or divinely created beings. I would also go back to the creation of the Great Pyramids of Egypt and the beginnings of the Mayan civilisation, to see if they were created or inspired by extraterrestrials. I would also want to see whether the Garden of Eden really existed or was just allegorical.

I'd go back to a moment last year when I thought the guy I loved wanted to kiss me, and instead of hesitating, getting scared and running away, I'd just let it happen.

I'd park in front of The Tardis just before The Doctor meets Rose Tyler so I can be his Time Lady!

I'd give Jesus a ride

I would go to Dark Ages Britain just after the Roman Army left and find out what actually happened. Why? Because the whole question just bugs me, were we invaded or settled? Why did the pottery industries and use of money stop so suddenly? Why could no-one repair the buildings? Aaaargh....

I bought a time machine in 2073, but it brokedown. I took it to the
time machine repair shop, and the ramjongian (from the planet Ramjong) just looked at it and said it wouldn't be able to be repaired for another 40 years....

I'd either go back and fix stuff in my own life, maybe give myself something or some info that would help me.

But if I had to go back further than that.....maybe show some Roman Ceasar an AK-47 or a tank or something. Make him cream in his toga.

Or maybe go back to the time of Jesus and get him hammered. Then ask him if he really is the son of god.

I would go to my current home town, but at 50, 100, 150 and 200 years ago.

I think it would be cool to see what this place looked like to the first settlers here, and as it developed.

Do you think it causes problems with the space-time continuum if you take pictures and bring them back?

I'd probably also go to Donner Lake, during the winter when the Donner party was stuck there...Again, I think it would be cool to see it as they saw it.
