the birth of my children...

especially the last one...

born july 9,1999
{we are having a birthday soon!}
labor was a remarkable, internal, meditative experience...words can not describe...
birth was, the most human, and alive i have ever felt, or will ever feel again...
{without being graphic....}...he was untouched, by any other hands, but mine. i cut his cord, and they even let me have the blue towels to clean him up,....
they never tried to take him from me for any reason ....{about an hour later they did take him to weigh and measure him}..they did the AP-GAR while he was in my arms, nursing.....and they had the room spit spot , and all the older children in the room with me and new little brother..., 8 mins, after his birth...

there was a lot of bonding going on!!!

absolutely, unforgettable.

Most unforgettable...I was 15. I liked to read fantasy books, a lot. I was tired of not finding the fantastitical in real life. I decided to not believe in God/Jesus anymore. A Presence I didn't realize had always been there, was *not* there anymore. A chasm of blackness opened before me. I saw in that instance I was separated from God, and all that there was left, was utter blackness. Nothing. It was horrifying and so ALONE. In very short order I turned my (spiritual) 'face' back to God. I wasn't alone anymore, I had the Presence again. The utter darkness went away.
I still had my many problems (depression, etc.), but I knew what the worst thing in world was then. Being separated from God.

This anecdote summarized the word, "experience."

I remember the first time I saw Pirates of the Carribean in the theatre and me and my friends all thought it was going to suck, but we wanted to watch a good Depp movie.

So, we went and there was like NO ONE in the theatre and this older couple (once hippies... now old people wearing ty die) came in and the lady tripped on the carpet. She seemed ok, so we went back to our conversation.

Then she went to sit in front of us and she put her purse on the ground leaving her bottom waving in the air in front of us. She was wearing white pants... and a BIG BLACK THONG!!!! and we could see the thong through her white pants. All at once me and my friends started to CRACK up.

So, she thought we were laughing because she fell - which we couldn't care less about...Her husband went to get some popcorn and she turned around and said, "Oh, I know, I fell, it's funny... laugh away" REALLY irritated.

My husband said, "Sorry Ma'am, That's not why were laughing..." Which made us laugh more. A couple of minutes later my friend started singing the Thong Song under his breath (thong thongthongthong thong!) and we all burst out laughing!

So, she turned around again and said, " I know you're laughing at me, it's ok.... it was funny... I fell... whatever..." Trying to be cool and brush it off.

This time I was really annoyed with her and said, "Listen Lady, if you say that ONE MORE TIME, I'll tell you why we are REALLY laughing..." and she shut up.

The End.

Everything you do is experience.

The happiest / most exciting times are the most memorable. The scariest and the tragic memories are the hardest to forget. This is because these moments are 'experiences' which have affected us and we have gained knowledge through them whether good or bad.
