I have loads of pics and a few short videos from my camera. I want to make a video with our song playing in the background. can anyone help?? I have no idea what to do..

If you have Windows XP you can use Windows Movie Maker.
It's fairly user friendly.
I guess the only other issue would be where to view the video....

I was thinking of using MS powerpoint would do the job but the sound quality may be really poor unless the file is enormous, therefore this is not a solution.
I am not absolutely certain but I would check with some ADOBE products to get a clear idea of what software can do but basically what you are looking for is a small video editing software.

Easiest thing is to download picasa from google for free. You can easily create slideshows with mp3 in background in the software and convert those slideshows to a video..
In create menu you have option to create a video..

imovie works well. i think you may be able to use quicktime also.
