ok, i have chickens and there is this rooster that i have and it hates me. it is very mean and attacks. i hate him but i love him still. how can i stop him from attacking me? i think he is just making sure i dont hurt then hens but i'm just going in the coop to feed them and gather the eggs. and no, i wont eat him that's sick.

first of all, you dont need a rooster to get eggs, you just need a rooster to get the eggs fertilized. it's sick because i would never eat my pet. and when we got the chickens they were babies so we didnt even know it was a rooster

Alot of roosters are like this. They want to be in charge.If he senses you being scared, he will show you that hes the intimadator.The best way is to carry a broom around with you and make the most noise possible to him, this way he will know your not one bit afraid of him( been there and still doing that). When he wants to come charging at you, take the broom lower it to his level, and make those noises to keep him away until you get those eggs.

What is sick about eating a rooster if you eat the eggs?
Even so... I think just about everyone ends up with at least one evil rooster in their bunch. My grandmothers evil black rooster used to corner me and chase me all over the yard.
Grandma would eventually come looking for me and find me sitting on top of the chicken coop waiting for someone to come save me from the rooster!

beat it w/ a stick untill it loves you! hahaha just messin jst put its food in when hes not around untill the babies are old enough that the rooster wont get mad at you and if he still s you then sell it on ebay and get a new rooster! i mean who wants a rooster that s you!?! Pschhhhhh not me

is a good thing,it will attack preditors as well
you cant teach them out out it ,
go in with a broom .(we had one like that)
they can hurt you with their spurs high up on the legs
they tend to jump up when they attack

this is what i would do take a spray bottle filled with water and each time he came close aim it at him and squirt him with it...a few times doing this and he should quit....it does work
