Rabbits do blink, but when they're scared, they sit perfectly still. Richard Adams, who wrote several stories about rabbits and rabbit socity ("Watership Down," "Return to Watership Down"), called this action "tharn." Basically, the rabbit is paralyzed by fear and won't move at all.

Rabbits do blink, but not as often because they have a third eyelid it means they don t have to blink as often as humans. As humans and other mammals do, rabbits blink to keep their eyes lubricated and free of dust and other particles that may irritate the eye. I have four rabbits and when they do blink, they blink slowly.

Yes they blink, its just that they blink very fast. So you have to stare at them and if you blink you may miss it. I thought this at first with my rabbit, but if you stare you will notice that they don't blink that often but they still do blink. :)

Yes they do. If they start cleaning over their eyes you'll see them blink/close their eyes. One of my rabbits winks a lot especially when he's really happy.

I think so, if you poked it in the eye, and I don't mean like jamming your finger in it's eye ball, but if you put your finger up to it in a gentle eye poking move it would shut it's eye. So that's blinking isn't it?
