i am from texas, so yes i have a belt buckle, but i never wear it shown. I like to wear earings, i crease my jeans sometimes, and i wear a lot of button up long sleeve type dress shirts, shirts that guys wear to clubs. i also wear my hats ****** to the back and right side a little bit. i drive a cadilac deville, and yes i have some chrome rims on it. i also have a nice car stereo, that plays rap music, but mostly classics and alternative, some country, depending on my mood. i pride myself on being considerate so i never turn it up that loud. Now my problem is people are always giving me dirty looks, and think that i am someone who i am not. Is there a problem with having style? i am sorry that i can't just throw a shirt on and some wrinkly jeans and go out, like most white guys i know, i acutually care about how i look. Why is that so bad?

It's not bad. Alot of people are negative over someone different. It sounds like you live in a small town with the small town mentality. It takes strength and courage to be you. Perhaps, in the future a new area may help you; where people don't really care about your uniqueness. The world is more diverse than you may think now. Good luck Hey, I'm from Texas, too. Hang in there.

Hey buddy! I'm from Texas too, but I'm originally from South Dakota. So trust me, I know that Texas is a whole different world, quite literally.

The reason people have to say things like that is because there are unfortunately sterotypes in this world, and people tend to take them too far beyond understanding. I have a feeling that since Texas is the deep south (or can get to be that way culturally) they think that there is a certain style and culture and that if someone who doesn't fit the stereotype comes in it's "fake". But, Texas has also been a blessing to me as one of the most diverse places I've ever been, so I take pride in my style even if it's different from most Caucasian girls.

I say just do what you want to do, and if anyone ever accuses you of being something you're not, just tell them that's what you like and it has nothing to do with who you "want" to be. Everything we like from the way we dress to the things we eat simply has to do with what we like and how we grew up . . if someone wants to call you fake because you don't fit a stereotype, I would just tell them that you're glad you're not the one holding yourself in a box!

BTW - style is made by whoever it's made by, whether it's the result of a culture or certain timeframe in history. Just because it originated somewhere doesn't mean other people are wrong for liking it and taking part in it. If they try to take credit for it that's a different story, but that's like the maker of Gucci bags telling people who aren't rich that they can't get a bag even if they have the money for one of them. Just because these people don't live and breathe wealth doesn't mean they can't like the product and use it, right? Same thing with "black" or "white" or "hispanic" or whatever kind of clothing style that you want . . just because someone isn't from the same background doesn't mean they should be excluded from liking the style.

Well it's not bad at all. It is just their ignorance resulting from jealousy or just plain stupidity. Those are the types of people that think your dress associates with your race and it does not. Don't let it bother you like that.

you are who you are. keep your head held high and dont let anyone make you feel as is you are acting like "someone you are not" or a poser. Least you are making yourself look good. As long as you like how you carry and present yourself then no one else should matter to you because they arent in your shoes. Yes black people call white people wiggers because they are trying to act like us, maybe that is because of slavery and other resentment... you cant blame all the white people for everything so dress how you want to and act like you want to.

Where I'm from, a wigger wears baggy pants that have to be pulled up every 2 steps, boxers hanging out, sideways or backward baseball caps, tons of heavy gold. WHATEVER you call it, it's stupid, and you will be judged negatively, like it or not.
