Because the lord couldn't make it purple even with a crew
and the clouds they drew look the best with a back ground of blue
even though they might've been just out of school.

These are not valid premies to draw this conclusion. the Sky is blue due to a number os scientific factors including refracting light so the two starting points of thie questions are pointless

I guess that means I win. But from what I understand the sky is blue because the sun reflects off the water on the earth and that light reflects onto the atmosphere causing it to appear blue..
