Any time you have sex without a condom, you are at risk of getting an STD. This applies equally to men and women. (Of course, if you're a woman, you could also get pregant.)

Use of a condom also applies to any penetration (oral, vaginal or anal), with either sex, and any combination of sexes (M-M, F-F, M-F).

The biggest concern is, of course, HIV/AIDS. However, you can *still* get the good old-fashioned ones: herpes (both types), chlamidia, gonorrhea, syphilus. Some of which are *not* treatable, e.g. herpes - once you've got it, you're stuck with it for the rest of your life.

The proper use of condoms will help prevent this. This includes a new one each time, careful application, and one which is reasonably new (most come with experation dates - sure, it is still going to be there, but the experation date is the length of time the manufacturer thinks the latex will be okay)

Sheepskin condoms are less effective than latex. However, if you've got a latex allergy, by all means don't use one.

Consider any future partners you might have. It will be very uncomforable to explain that you have an STD and could pass it on. It would be morally reprehensible to keep this secret. Whether or not you use a condom, you should be prepared to tell your partner whether or not you have an STD. Really blows the idea of a romantic moment, if you wait till the last moment.

You sould insist on your partner using condoms. Do not cave into feeling pressured. Your continuing health far outweighs the other person's need for sexual gratification.
