I am totally 100% biased but I say UNC @ Chapel Hill and not because I am a big basketball fan. I graduated from there and have attended a few other Universities since then, all around the country, and I can honestly say the education I received there was by far the best.

Depends on what type of history you intend to pursue for a Master's or even a Phd. degree. Art history, UCLA, Acient history, Ivy League, etc. Decide the specifics then check out schools on line or in person or, shall I dare suggest going to your local library and doing some hands on research? Try it, you might actually like it.
