Th easiest way is to let the dry cleaners press it. They know how to work with a variety of fabrics. You could try those steamers or the new wrinkle remover spray. The last resort is the old fashion cotton cloth over the material and then use your iron to steam it that way. Never let the iron touch the material of the dress.

If you're afraid to iron it, you can
(1) Take it to a dry cleaners to get pressed
(2) Hang it up for at least 24 hours (good idea to hang it up while you shower too so the steam helps to de-wrinkle it)
(3) I like this idea when you only have a short amount of time to work with. Mix 1 part fabric softener with 6 parts water and mist over your dress while it's hanging. After misting, with your clean hands, smooth the fabric out and let air dry. You can also speed up the drying by blow drying.

Inside out, very low heat, and place a towel over the area so the iron doesn't melt the fabric.

Or:

Take a really hot shower and hang the dress in the back of the shower so it doesn't get wet. The steam should work to get the wrinkles out.

Hang it in the bathroom. Turn on the hot water. Close the bathroom door. The steam will remove the wrinkles without damaging the fabric.

Did the label say it was ok to iron or did it have the little iron symbol with an x through it?
