Please include labor costs...Estimates are what I'm looking for. I live in Arizona. It's for a condo and not a house. And it's mounted from the ceiling.

I am guessing you mean central air, Depends on how many rooms, how many floors? Is the duct work there already, or has to be installed. could be 3,000- 25,000- when you call companies to bid it, get bids written, date of start and job completion date Check References, and get at least 3 bids and let them know you are getting other bids, do not say who, this will help keep cost down, you will get a better price if you give the appearance you understand a little about AC, Ask many Questions... Such as what is their formula for figuring out BTU,s to Square footage, Good luck, hope this helps some.

You weren't very specific, so I don't know how helpful I can be. Are you in the desert or the mountains? Depending on which, you may have a "Swamp cooler" which adds moisture, or a conventional a/c unit, which cools and dehumidifies. Please post again when you have more info, and I'll try to be more helpful. I also need to know your ft2, and if you have more than one level; up or down. I ssume there is no ductwork if it ceiling suspended?

Not $200-300 dollars. You are looking at about $2,000-5000 with labor. Go to a home improvement store or go to Sears. Tell them what you are looking for and they should be able to give you an estimate.

I put the starting figure at closer to $4000.

From there, the sky is the limit. Higher efficiency ratings, different brands, and additional bells and whistles will quickly drive the price higher.

Figure in the neighborhood of $3500. Less for a small space & more for a larger area.
