Michael Myers is the man. Awesome killing technique, relentless, patient, sense of twisted humor in use of one off weapons and killing style. Nothing can stop him. Even though he’s the killer, The Shape as he’s called in the scripts you root for him to kill more. There never has been or ever will be a better Horror psycho/force of nature/mass murderer then the Boogeyman Michael Myers

Hmm...Depends what I'm looking for at the time. If I'm in the mood for wit, I've been known to let Freddie Krueger do the talking and stalking. Jason...not no smuch, bit dull for me. One of the scariest scenes ever was the very first scene of Halloween - seing through the kid's eyes as he commits murder, and then pulling back to see him dressed in the clown outfit. and for sheer unstoppable menace, Michael really does carry an extra ace - the mask is great, but the psychology is even better - it's like the more he kills, the further and further his conscience goes into the dark, and the more immune to everything - pain, temperature, endurance - he becomes...

I would agree with the previous answer of Hannibal Lecter... he is extremely chilling, yet he's not so much supernatural. I suppose the scariest thing is that he comes across as polite and nice before he tears you to pieces, and that he seems like a fairly normal guy that could be living in your neighborhood.

It's got to be the unseen force from Final Destination. It was clever and new when most horror movie villains where just maniacs with big knives or masks. And it kept you guessing too...
