I would like to get a cherub tattoo sometime soon. I want it to be flying upwards to the side with its hands reaching out like it is lifting something up or grabbing for something. This is a part tribute to my grandma who passed away 2 months ago. What should the cherub be reaching for? I thought butterflies, but i dont know. Or it can be holding a rose. any ideas?

think of the thing that reminds you most of your beloved g-ma. Mine is a honey bee (her nick name). if she has a special flower she grew, or an delicate animal she liked , butterflies, humming birds, cats, think it over....it is your g-ma's memory and its going to be on you for the rest of your life!

Try watching something like Miami/LA/London Ink, although you may not see exactly what you want, it will give you some ideas. You will be able to see how tattoo's look on different parts of the body and you will be able to see what areas you like tattooed. It will also give you ideas on how to research tattoo ideas, and approach an artist to make sure you get what you really want.

you could try a prayer written in some foreign language like hindi or arabic so that you know whats written and it looks sophisticated that way it can be really personal if i were your grandma i would appreciate that more because you would think about wut to write, just a thought!

take a picture or a drawing to the artist that is going to do it--they should be more than happy to offer you suggestions and throw some ideas at you! good luck
