Since I live in England you will need a mask to keep the car fumes from killing you! A good raincoat, A good umbrella for the sharp showers. Patients to wait in long queues at the post office to post the postcards home! A know how of how to shove yourself to the front of a queue at a bus stop! Good walking shoes as by the time any buses come along you could have walked there faster

You should as there are an increasing number of cases of skin cancer in England. It doesn`t necessarily have to be sunny to get sunburnt, it can happen through a breeze. If you are going on a day trip take layers if you are not sure then you can take off. An umberella if it has forecast rain or anorak etc. Put suncream on before you leave home and top up throughout the day. Then it depends where you are going if you are eating out or picnic. etc.

It's not usually hot in england. If you came to the merry ol england today then it's unusually hot. It's not normally this hot, only like 2-3 weeks a year. The rest of the time it's like autumn for nearly three quarters of the year and winter for about a quarter. Summer is a brief period in between.
Living in England, I am never equipt because, although you know it's not usually going to be nice weather, the weather changes so often that you don't know what to be equiped with. Just come with everything in a massive bag next time! I don't need to however as I've learnt to adjust.
edit: btw eden, where are you thinking of? Mosquito repellant? what the freak? This is england not the middle of africa. There are no mosquitos.

Having lived in London for six years I'd take money and lots of it if you're visiting London because everything is over priced! Also, take a Londoner with you because they will get wound up waiting in queues and insist on walking fast everywhere. This will add to a true London day out!

Well I always take a lightweight mac/kagoole, sun cream(because I burn v easily), a hat, a flask/ fluids, money( v important) and a picnic. Oh and plasters are always helpful. I also always take my SAS Survival guide, just in case- those sheep can be vicious.

I take a pushchair, beakers, sons special blanket, small army of toys, sun cream, nappies etc, sweets and painkillers plus a change of clothes.
This is why all mothers have large handbags
