Definitely. Bonds is the face of the Giants. Ask anyone on the streets anywhere (even the little kids) to name a player from the SF Giants and most everyone will answer Bonds. Though Bonds' speed has greatly diminished (taking away his basestealing threat), he is still a threat to hit one out of the park every time he steps up to the plate. I'm too young to have witnessed most of Bonds' other feats (esp. his speed on the basepaths), but he has been the most exciting player to watch in baseball for the past few years while he was hitting homers at that torrid pace. We might never see another player like Bonds...not only in SF but anywhere else in the league for that matter - and most Giants fans realize this..which is why they still love him. Barry will always be Barry, despite his bad attitude and alleged steorid use...you can't deny he's had tremendous impact on the game of baseball. Fact of the matter is, if it weren't for Barry, half the fans who come out to the park probably even wouln't show up at AT&T this year.

I am a great fan of the SF Giants and has been all my life.
Yes, I love Barry Bonds and his Dad when he play for the
Giants and all of other greatest players back in the 60's.
I don't look at Bonds the way lot of other people do about his
steroid if it was really true or not. Don't we are have our
up and down ratter or not it was a good choice. Hey, Barry love
the game and love playing it in his our way he does show it.
I feel that the team love him too. So, as a fan of the Giants
I said GO GIANTS , GO GIANTS all the way.

Here's the problem I have with Barry Bonds. Yes, he hit some home runs before he went on the juice, but face it...90% of them came AFTER he started on steroids. I think the guy is a cheater, a liar, and on a personal level, he's a self-important JERK who doesn't deserve hall of fame status, although HE thinks he does, and will be happy to tell you so. I realize he'll end up there, and he'll also likely pass Hank Aaron sooner or later assuming he stays healthy, but his stats should all have asterisks by them due to his steroid abuse.
If Bonds gets into the HOF, then Pete Rose DEFINITELY should be there also. And Pete never touched steroids. He just gambled on baseball, something that half of the earliest HOF inductees did regularly, including Babe Ruth.

Yes! Love Bonds, the greatest player of all time. He is not just the only member of the 400/400 club, he is also the only member of the 500/500 club. No one is even close. How many bases did Ruth steal? How many diff. pitchers did Ruth hit a homerun off.

Here is the truth: everyone says that bonds hits all of these homeruns because of steroids which is partially true. Steroids will make you hit the ball farther, but they will not give you the unhuman plate vision and decision that Barry Bonds posseses. There are few people that are able to see the pitch, decide where it is going, what pitch it is, how fast it is going, and time their swing as good as Bonds.

I'm not really a giants fan, i'm more of an A's fan, but i love barry bonds, (except when hes playing the A's) cant wait till he breaks hanks record. hanks a guy who played in an easy homer park most of his life, and after way more at-bats then the other HR contenders got the career HR record. barrys a guy who has played in parks that are not so home run friendly and has still managed 2 put up great HRs steroids or not, although i think the leader in HRs should be willie mays, if only he'd played in a more homer friendly park.

its one thing to be a role model for others, but Bonds is a hypocrite when it comes to being a role model. he will most likely get inducted into the HOF, but he doesnt deserve it. But soon it will come to light that he did touch some juice (and i dont mean Kool-aid)
