my 2 daughters are forced to go to college so their alley cat mother can continue collecting child support.she also collects child support from 2 other kids from from 2 different fathers.she is actually living off the child support that she collects.she makes my daughters take out student loans, and work full time jobs to support themselves.i am outraged that she can get away with this,i recently went to court to try and put a stop to this madness.big mistake, the judge actually raised my child support payments.is this fair,or do i sound like a dead beat dad?

You should be helping your daughters through college - but since they are adults perhaps you can work something out where you are giving them checks and/or paying for things yourself - rather than giving it to your ex wife.
You should go back to court and get your child support adjusted and or removed. Your daughters should also be there and be telling the court what your wife is making them do - go to school, have full time jobs, taking out loans, etc. Your wife isn't supposed to be living off your child support - it's called child support because it's supposed to be going to your children. You should get a good lawyer and start getting your money to your kids and not your ex.

I don't think you sound like a dead beat dad, your ex on the other hand...YIKES! Careful who you have kids with. If you are making a substantial amount of money, than paying the child support probably still puts a whole in your stomach as well as pocket book, but should'nt matter. Shop around for a better attorney! Good luck.

It may not be completely fair but in this case I think your complaining about something you can't control. The end result hopefully is that your daughters will end up with a good college degree and eventually your ex will stop receiving child support and have to figure out a new way to survive.

yes if your children are in college you need to help pay for there fiances
YOU CAN HOWEVER.... try and arrange with the judge so that your children now get the support in there hands so it doesn't pass through you ex-wife's hand at all

I know it can be tough but there is ways to handle it talk to your child support counselor and see if they can arrange the payments going to your girls student loans that may even be possible you might be able to arrange where all or most of the payment goes directly to the student loan office. TRY IT

GOOD LUCK

If Your Children are old enough then take them in while they are in collage then if they decide they no longer wanna go to school they can Quit then bring Your Ex back to court explain the situation to the judge & I'm sure he'll dismiss the child support that's what my brother did cause his Ex pulled the same thing then her daughter got married & messed everything up for her lol.But while they are in school yes you still pay child support

When they reach adulthood (18) child support usually stops. My father stopped paying for me when I reached 18 and I go to college.

You should consult a lawyer instead of asking a judge. It might be different if you live in a country other than the United States (I only know US Law).

I'm no lawyer but child support usually ends at 18 years of age.
Check out these web sites...the first one has a whole section on Fathers Rights

The laws on child support IS that as long as they're in school you have to pay child support. Get a lawyer and have them find a way to make sure the money is going to your daughters. I am pretty sure that after they turn eighteen they are supposed to get the money. Good luck.

yes, I am sure they were forced to go to college. becuase they are 18 they can make any choice they want (and college is a GREAT IDEA)

I can just picture your wife put them in handcuffs with a gun to their head and locked them up in college and told the local police to not let them out until they had a degree.

How ridiculous is this? A college education will help your daughters get a good career where they can financially take care of themselves and not have to depend on loser men like you for the rest of their lives. Stick it up and pay - you stuck it in in the first place and you have to be ready for the consequences...

Well look at it this way, your children are getting an education and you as a good father are supporting them. I understand that you may feel that by them being adults they should be able to take care of themselves, but think about it, if you and there mother were still together and they were going to school, you would still be supporting them, right?

Good Luck!
