I am 25 years old and my parents found out that I am an internet 'cam' girl and they are pretty big christians. My dad won't even talk to me and my mom has wrote me many emails on how I am going to hell. Its a long story but I do need to work to make money and this is the only way I can do it right now. Is there anything I can tell my parents to make them understand? As it is...they don't want to have anything to do with me because they don't want to associate with a 'sinner'.

In response to how they found out...some heffa that my boyfriend cheated on me with got mad at me and found thier address and sent them a detailed letter in the mail with my website addy.

That is wrong of them. My parents do not "approve" of what I do (I actually sell pure romance items aka sex toys among other things) but they still support me no matter what. Throwing the bible at you does not get the bills paid and will not force your way into heaven. I am a born again christian myself but I still feel that there is a time to pray and religion will help you and there is a time when you just need to do what you feel is best for your survival.
Honestly, it is not very "christian like" of them to throw you out of their lives and threaten you with promises of spending eternity in hell. Maybe they should re-read that bible of theirs.

Let them know that given the circumstances this is what you have to do, and it's not hurting anyone. Also, bring up the fact that if they were big Christians, that they would recognize that the Bible simply states that we are all born "sinners," and we are given no right to judgment. So, by judging you and your profession, they are just as big of sinners as they consider you to be. Bring this to their attention!

Well from the way they are acting they are'nt Christians.Besides everyone sins.They should be glad you're honest about what you do instead of judging you.That's why I have'nt gone to Church in years,too many fake christians.I'm not perfect & I never will be & I'll be damned if I judge others.If they want to push you away it's their loss not yours hun.With that said,I have to be honest.I would'nt like it if my daughter was doing that,but I'd offer to help her not push her away.
