Yahoo! mail and GMail, unlike Hotmail, will not delete your account just because you haven't used it.

You can, however, stop using it. If you don't want to use it anymore, set up a "vacation response". That way you can let people either know that you aren't uing it anymore, or you can inform them of your new email address.

To set up a vacation response, go to Yahoo! Mail then go to "options" and fill out the vacation response email.

If you don't want to use your yahoo! email for yahoo! products, go to your yahoo! account information (select "my account") and change your primary email address to the email address you would like to use.

Just don't use it for a couple of months.
They will delete it for you if there is no activity
on it for a certain ammount of days.
