Why do so many people hate gays?

Why does everyone hate me because Im gay? Why cant the world except me for who I am?

I dont hate you, I have several gay friends. Im sorry theres still so much discrimination, being gay doesnt make you less of a human being and as long as youre not hurting anyone I dont care what you do. All I can say is STOP HATE, theres no excuse to resort to violence just because you dont agree with something someone does. We had some boys beat half to death for looking gay when they werent even gay. They caught the guys who did it and they are being prosecuted. Lots of people dont hate you they just dont understand. Be a good person and let them know they dont have to understand just accept you as you are. Good Luck

It is ignorance. Some back it through the use of the bible and others just do not understand. It was amazing for people to be found out in the past but these days it has become more acceptale. Over time it should gain more strength in society and the world will hopefully be cool with it in the future. Hell we are debating over gay marriage. That is a landmark in history.

Many people, likewise myself hate homosexuality of which gay is one. I don't hate Gays but i hate their act who have become inflame towards their own kind instead of the natural use of the women.
Gay is beyond any moral justification. It is even worse when we talk about religious reason. It is detestable and it is sodomy if you beleives in the Bible. Why not give attention to public opinion and amend your desires. Why throw away self control and become a salve of your desires. There is no enjoyment there that is not in the convectional sex act. Above all there is no eternal future for Gays.

I don't hate Gays. I dislike the choice you made. Homosexuality is unnatural. God's purpose was not for Male and Male or Female and Female. I think that you should not care what the world feels. However you should care about how you are making God feel, doing this vile thing you are doing with the same sex.

I have no clue. I hate to hear derogatory words or phrases used within my household. Or anywhere else for that matter. I don't know how it would feel to be hated because of my sexual orientation since I'm straight, but I guess it would almost be the same as being discriminated on being of my race. I do not understand the prejudice against gays and never will. I myself am a married straight woman, but I am all for gay marriage and gay rights. You are a person, the same as me, and deserve the same resepect and rights. Celebrate who you are and to hell with those who hate you.

well myself and many people don't care if your gay its part of the whole equality thing.but some people believe that gays make a huge deal about being gay in public .i can't say how many times iv seen a gay couple kiss in public
and i don't care, but when my 7 year old sis sees it ,it kind of pisses off my parents.i mean
its hard enough trying to explain where babies come from but its even harder to explain gays.
especially when my 6 year old little boy cousin always talks about (in a joking kinda way)
two girls kissin and it makes my parents even more mad.but anyways i think is not that big of deal .people should marry who they want and stuff. kids are so easily influenced and confused nobody should delibratly kiss in front of little children just to prove a point.

Nobody hates you. Perhaps, the word you should use is RESENT. Some people PROBABLY resent you because you have the best of both worlds. You could be both AM and FM; AC and DC; day and night; sun and moon. What more do you want from life?

I love gay people! they're the most fabulous people I know! Plus I play this fun game with my gay guy friends when we're out at bars, it's called "does he have tendencies?" in which we see who can get a guy's phone number first, me or my gay friend!
