i can see his side ---of wanting to come back, full force, make mad love----it sounds very romantic...especially since he's coming back from war.
however---i don't think it's wrong to ask him to wait. as romantic as the scenerio in his brain sounds, in reality, you are not ready for it. you are not nearly as intimate as before---however---if you still love him, it will come back. it will take time though. it might even feel weird to hold hands at first----but sooner or later, it'll seem natural, and just keep going from there.
haha, one thing tho, is that all this might fly out the window when you see him get off that plane. it will be a big flood of emotions and you just might get caught up in the moment....then, anything goes....

He is your ex-husband for a reason. Don't be his booty call... you deserve more respect than that.
if being overseas has made him realize that he still loves you, then you need to win each other back. You can't just pick up where you left off... you left off at DIVORCE. don't let him hop right into your bed, that's disrespectful.

If he wanted a relationship, sex (whatever you want to call it) wouldn't be the first thing on his mind. Sounds like he just wants sex and you're just going to get hurt. You have every right to tell him that you're worth much more than that.

If he wants to date, and you are comfortable with it, then just date. No sex, just dating. Take the time to get to know each other again before you get sexually involved.

You are in the exact position I would sell my soul for.My ex-husband and I have been apart 3 years and I miss him and love him and would give everything to have him just want to be with me.
Go for it! Please see life is so short, please take advantage of what he wants to give you, I would die to be with my dear ex again!
