There are a *lot* of inheritance scams out there.

There is a simple test to see if it is a scam. If it is real, you *might* have to prove who you are. If so, any lawyer involved should have no objection to giving you the name of the court, so you can check with them. In *no* case should you have to pay anything, unless it is a share of what you are to inherit. Either the expenses are already deducted by the court from the amount you will inherit, or, in some cases where the court doesn't know of any heirs, a private firm might track them down and ask them to sign an agreement *for a percentage of the inheritance*, in return for letting them know they have a claim on it. If you are asked to pay anything upfront, it is a fraud. Also, in these cases, they should already *know* who you are; that is how they found you. So don't give them any personal information.

Yeah, I had got one few months ago.
Somebody telling me that he is lawyer, his client deceased and I do have the same family name.
He is simply asking me to pretend that I am a relative, to cash 20 million dollars left in a bank account in an African Country.
I said no, and his reply, which kind of human being could say no. Simply, that I was stupid.
Refusing a fraud for him, it was stupid.
