There is most certainly a Barclays Bank throughout the UK...my husband banks with them and has done for years. If you are trying to find out info' about a certain person then you would need to check which branch they worked at. Did you get a snail mail letter or did you hear of your "inheritance" by email? Chances are if it was by email then you are being scammed.

You could try sending them an email asking for information. If it is a scam and their name is being used, I am sure they would appreciate being notified of it.

That's good. Have them send you all of the information, but don't send them a dime. If you have to pay, it's a scam. I'll repeat that, if you have to pay, it's a scam. One more time, if you have to pay, it's a scam. (Even if they send you a check to cash and send them money from it). By the way, if you have to pay, it's a scam.
